Social Network Philanthropy - Redux


Months ago (08.06) I posted a call for examples of "social network philanthropy" - something along the lines of SocialPicks.

At CivicSpace we are working on the technology for two social networks for giving. One is an arts community where individuals can find out and support local artists. Another is a grassroots community sites where projects that solve neighborhood problems can be worked on and funded.

For all the tiny organizations out there that don't have deep pockets, the technology behind a globalgiving or donorschoose just isn't accessible. Hopefully CivicSpace's open source solutions can make a difference.
