In my opinion, for this to work, it really has to keep going in the direction of community use, access, participation and contribution to content - that's what's cool about the platform as they built it and that is the direction I hope it keeps going.
LucyLucy Bernholzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09253941214286179394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3614581.post-41518342601473158542010-09-09T15:34:46.965-07:002010-09-09T15:34:46.965-07:00The site is definitely a breakthrough in the field...The site is definitely a breakthrough in the field. I'm curious about the evaluation info. Where there is content, it all seems positive (I didn't look at all of them.) Are they going to post negative comments as well? And, are the evaluations from foundation staff exclusivley?Fred Silvermannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3614581.post-8221830240330488152010-09-08T12:24:28.396-07:002010-09-08T12:24:28.396-07:00Tony

Let's hope they take full advantage of what they've built to let the community use it and improve it

LucyLucy Bernholzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09253941214286179394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3614581.post-27052960222722055932010-09-08T11:40:38.562-07:002010-09-08T11:40:38.562-07:00Thanks for the heads-up on the site Lucy. Even practiced donors want help with good context and ideas from trusted peers on effective programs.

I agree Seattle's site is a top example for community foundations. And, I definitely agree it could be a groundbreaking model if it incorporated content, ratings, viewpoints from other funders and resources in town. Too many CFs treat these types of sites as secret exclusive knowledge - a failing business model. Would be cool if Seattle also embed multimedia stories.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00363053002218540475noreply@blogger.com
